Alicia DaRosa has over 30 years of equine experience. She started riding at the age of five and fell madly in love with horses. She competed in hunter jumper equitation and won many blue ribbons. After competing, Alicia began her career by breaking Yearlings, retraining two-year-old race horses to be school horses, and working alongside veterinarians and farriers to learn all aspects of horse grooming and care. Alicia traveled the country assisting top trainers at many of the most prestigious race tracks. She also ponied in the Kentucky Derby. Operating a 40 stall facility at Goddard State Park in RI she trained young and unbroken horses, gave lessons to beginners thru advanced riders and attended many competitions with her students. She is experienced in English, showing, competing, hunt seat, jumping, western and barrel racing.
